Labyrinths of words and symbols present themselves to me, asking to be solved. An object, however, is and can never be solved. It presents itself again and again; a never ending cycle of regurgitation. Using paper-mâché to create sculptural works allow for the recreation of objects to present the illusion of familiarity. Creating these works are a way of understanding the objects, and the objects allowing me to understand them. Exactness is forgotten and the symbols melt into their own way of existence, whispering to me how they want to be seen. An object is never-ending.
